Our Story

Buying quality products as locally as possible, celebrating the quality of what is on our doorstep is not the only criteria. If we are not able to source products locally, we use suppliers who understand quality and have an ethically sourced strategy.

Hospitality is all about people. Our team of around 60 full and part-time great individuals make our business. We offer many to our team. Loyalty is a two-way street. You can read more about our staff benefits here.

Our team of chefs, led by Johnny with the help of Mick, Maria and Dave design our food around the seasons and create all our dishes on site.

As a Freehouse we are fortunate to be able to buy our products from anywhere – including direct from local breweries. We have a large range of lagers and beers, with up to four changing real ales per week. CAMRA members get 10% off a pint of all our beers. We always aim to get in the Good Beer Guide and over the years we have been in it more often than not.

All are wines are by the glass so you can have a cheeky pinot grigio to start with, but if you fancy something special without having to buy the bottle then you can.
